I am Committed to Transparent Governance for Ward 9/10

Mackenzie County’s governance has faced challenges, marked by a complex history of decisions that haven’t always prioritized the needs of our northern ratepayers and residents.  The recent restructuring, which eliminated a Ward north of the Peace River, has reduced representation for Ward 9 and 10 and has been a significant loss for ratepayers and residents. This change risks silencing the voices of our rural communities, particularly in the High Level Rural and Zama City areas, where there’s a proud history of pushing back against municipal decisions that stray from the principles of fair and effective governance.

As your Councilor, I pledge to be a steadfast advocate for Ward 9/10. With 20 years of experience on Mackenzie County Council, I’ve seen firsthand the impact of governance decisions on our region. I am committed to ensuring transparency, accountability, and collaboration in all municipal processes. My focus is to amplify the voices of northerners, protecting the interests of our rural communities and large ratepayers who contribute significantly to the County’s economic vitality.

I will work tirelessly to address the unique needs of Ward 9/10, from supporting critical infrastructure like roads and bridges to fostering economic opportunities that strengthen our communities. By engaging with residents, businesses, and stakeholders, I aim to restore trust in our municipal government and ensure our region thrives. My track record — of being a strong educated and passionate voice from the North of the river —demonstrates my dedication to building a stronger municipality.
